Welcome to Not Just Nannies.
I really enjoy knitting, which is why I decided to use this topic for my first website design. I really struggle in PhotoShop, so I’m proud of my self for creating a design that doesn’t show how much I struggle with it. I know it could definitely use some more work, but at this point, I’m pretty content (look at my previous post for my initial design. Yikes!).
Self-critique:
+ The header and title could be more enthralling. It would be cool if I could make a logo for the page, because right now it looks more like a title.
+ I want the images to be interactive, meaning clickable. If I have clickable images, though, do I really need a menu bar? When I get to that point, I may redesign/eliminate the menu bar. Not sure how I would let people know which images would lead you where. Maybe a rollover where the menu item is only visible when you hover over the image, and the image will become lower in opacity?
+ I really like the clean, simple white background. I don’t like things to look too busy. It might make it look boring, unfinished, or stagnant, though. Thoughts?
+ Not sure about the purple footer text. Thoughts?
Thanks for visiting! Let me know if you want to learn how to knit :P
